I am an Ohio based Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Registered Art Therapist, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level II as well as an Ohio Infant Mental Health Practitioner Level III. I completed my Masters in Art Therapy and Counseling from Ursuline College in 2008. Since this time I have worked in a variety of settings including both inpatient and outpatient behavioral health, nursing homes and community mental health agencies.
In my 15 years of experience I have worked with many patients from all walks of life. This has allowed me to obtain a variety of tools and skills that I am able to teach my clients. I help address depression due to feeling inadequate, emotional distress due to a life transition, adjustment to a new baby at home, transitioning back to work, addiction, a brain injury or other issues that are affecting your mental health negatively. I am a mother of three and understand the demands that come with trying to maintain a work-life balance and coping with daily stressors.
My approach towards therapy is an eclectic philosophy that includes cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing and solution focused techniques. I also provide art therapy to clients when appropriate. I am a very passionate and flexible therapist who will go above and beyond to find a way to connect with you on a level that will help you achieve your desired goals. In the therapy room I am compassionate, creative and accepting. My goal is to collaborate with you to develop insight and achieve mental wellness.
